Hey, I’m Michelle Husz!
I know that losing weight is hard. It took me years to find the key to permanent, sustainable weight loss, and I’m here to help you do the same.
Here’s the first thing you need to do: forget everything you think you know about weight loss.
A lot of us feel like weight loss pros. We’ve tried everything. We know all the strategies, tips, and tricks by heart. We’ve heard of endless exercise programs and diets, not to mention all the well-intentioned (and sometimes unsolicited) advice from our friends and family.
But you want to know a secret?
Most of that is bull.
It’s unbelievable how much of that advice is mistaken, misguided, or flat-out wrong.
I learned that the hard way. When I started (and failed) to lose weight, I thought that I was the one who was wrong. That I was flawed for not having enough willpower or motivation or discipline.
That was bull, too.
BULL is not a site about fitness or going on a diet.
It’s about losing weight by changing our mindset, creating better habits, and designing a new lifestyle that we love. Because permanent change only happens when you cultivate behaviors you are willing to do every day.
BULL is a framework, not a one-size-fits-all plan. Our bodies, schedules, and personalities are so different that it’s impossible to say that what works for one person will work for another. I want to help you find the right system for you.
Does that sound good to you? Then let’s get started.
About Me, Michelle Husz
(pronounced “Hoos,” rhymes with “Zeus”)
I’ve always struggled with my weight. Despite my parents’ assertions that I was “just big boned,” I tried to lose weight many times. Nothing worked.
For years, I researched the science and psychology behind weight loss, read about other people’s experiences, and used myself as a guinea pig. And in 2015, I was finally able to lose 40 lbs and reach my goal weight. Now, I want to teach you how to do the same.
I currently live in San Francisco with my husband, Ryan, and our two cats, Howl and Buster. My favorite things include cooking, reading fiction, baking, yoga, running, board games, and donuts.
